Silber, vergoldet. Gewölbter, umlaufend in Form eines Lorbeerkranzes reliefierter Stand mit ausgestelltem Standring. Nahezu zylindrischer Korpus übergehend in glatte, durch Profillinien abgesetzte Randzone mit profiliertem Lippenrand. Von Kugelknauf bekrönter Scharnierdeckel mit breitem, flachem Rand. Wandung und Deckel flächendeckend umzogen von sehr fein und detailliert getriebener Weinlaubranke und üppigen Weinreben. Schmaler, volutierter J-Henkel, in geteilter, gerollter Daumenrast endend. Gest., Tremolierstrich, Meister Johann Jakob Petrus/Peters (wird Meister um 1667). Einfuhrstempel für Paris (1864-1893). Gew. ca. 445 g. H. 16 cm. Elfenbein-Silber-Humpen mit der thronenden Gottesmutter und den vier Evangelisten, deutsch, 19. Jhdt. Silber, partiell vergoldet. Ovaler, gewölbter Fuß mit graviertem Zungendekor. Ausladender, geschweifter Rand. Scharnierdeckel entsprechend dem Fuß gestaltet. Mittig getriebenes Ovalmedaillon mit Fruchtbouqet. Knauf in Form eines Fabelwesens gestaltet. Zylindrische Wandung mit Elfenbeinmantel. Sehr detailliert geschnitzte Heiligendarstellungen, jeweils unter einer Arkade sitzend. Frontseite mit der thronenden Maria mit dem Christusknaben auf ihrem Schoss, umgeben von den vier Evangelisten. Geschwungener Henkel mit plastischer Blattzier. Punziert mit Feingehalt "13". Maße 23,5 x 21 x 14 cm, Gesamtgewicht 1402,4 g. Vorbild ist die Elfenbein-Situla, die 979 von Bischof Gotofredo, Erzbischof von Mailand, für die Krönung von Otto II in Auftrag gegeben wurde. Aktuelles CITES-Gutachten vom 21.2.2022 vorhanden. Achtung: Ein Export dieses Loses aus der EU ist leider nicht möglich. Oval, domed foot engraved with a tongue pattern. Wide wavy edge. Hinged lid decorated en suite to the foot. In the centre an oval medallion embossed with a bouquet of fruits. Thumb-lever in the form of a mythical creature. Cylindrical bowl with ivory exterior. Saints carved in great detail, each figure sitting under an arcade. On the obverse Mary with the infant Jesus in her lap surrounded by the four Evangelists. Curved handle decorated with leaves. Stamped with the hallmark "13". Dimensions 23,5 x 21 x 14 cm, overall weight 1,402.4 g. The model is the ivory situla commissioned in 979 by Bishop Gotofredo, Archbishop of Milan, for the coronation of Otto II. A good George III silver tankard by Peter & Ann Bateman. Of baluster form, the domed hinged cover with scroll pierced thumbpiece, engraved armorial, London 1792, height 19.5cm, 24 toz.There is a dent to the side of the dome on the lid and two small shallow line dents near the edge of the dome. The thumb piece has probably been pushed towards the lid. The body underneath the reeded band has a small shallow dent and two pin prick dents. The lid and base hallmarks match and are clear and crisp. Sits straight on the base with no wobble. See extra images online.
