A George III Old Sheffield Plate ewer, of vase form with hinged cover and pine cone finial, raised on spreading circular foot, with beaded decoration and fruitwood loop handle (rubbed) 29.5cm h together with an Old Sheffield plate tankard, of circular tapering form, on stepped base with fruitwood bottom, reeded girdle and scroll handle 15cm h, both C. 1780-90 (2).
A Georgian Hallmarked Silver Tankard, (makers mark rubbed), London 1771, later converted to a pitcher, of cylindrical form, later decorated with flowerheads and leaf scrolls, the hinged lid with scroll thumbpiece, inscribed "Derbyshire Agricultural Society 1866" "Best Managed Farm Over 200 Acres Mr Robert Marples Aston-on-Trent", 804grams. *The spout has been tested by The Sheffield Assay Office to confirm that the modification complies with the Hallmarking Act.
