A good and heavy 19th Century hallmarked silver Christening Tankard with gilt interior and repousse decoration of a husband and wife before a country cottage with trees and birds etc., raised upon a rocaille style cast base with 'C' scrolls and shells etc., high arching leaf capped handle, makers mark CR GS, assayed London 1854, 9.5cm (to top of handle), approx. 172g CONDITION REPORT: Nothing major apparent upon inspection although one foot appears to have been slightly pushed in but this is not really noticeable from the outside and the rim of the Tankard is only very slightly misshapen, otherwise no splits, repairs or significant damage.
An 18th Century hallmarked silver Tankard of cylindrical tapering form with scrolling handle and on spreading foot, (probably Irish, Britannia Standard), 10cm high CONDITION REPORT: A small ding to lower section of cylindrical body and a minor pushing in of the lower circular foot otherwise appears in good order for age, could be half pint or smaller, the interior depth is 9cm and the diameter of the top interior is 6cm, no repairs or engravings and hallmarks are in reasonable condition although they exhibit rubbing, approx 170g

A large and heavy late 17th Century style hallmarked silver lidded Tankard produced to mark the occasion of the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth 12th May 1937, given with the compliments of the Master, Wardens and Court of Assistance of The Clothworkers' Company, engraved with a coat of arms and the inscription "The Guilt of Francis and Mary Burton, 1684" presentation inscription also to underside and dated 1937, makers mark of Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, London, assayed London 1837, approx. 20cm high (to tip of animal finial), approx. 1,125g, together with original card detailing the gift CONDITION REPORT: Apart from tarnishing as a result of the piece languishing in a cupboard for many years it appears to be in good original overall condition with no major problems apparent, comes together with original paperwork.There are no splits, repairs or significant damage to this item.
A 19th Century salt glaze stoneware Toby Jug, the tricorn hat forming the lid, the Toby in traditional style with large foaming tankard, 26cm high (old firing crack to back of hat) CONDITION REPORT: The top of the tricorn hat (the lid) has glaze discolouration and a small firing blemish to inside of lip, the main Toby Jug, the base of the handle where it connects to the body has a 2cm crack running through it and the internal rear of the tricorn hat appears to have an old vertical 2cm firing crack, otherwise in seemingly good order.
A Charles II silver-gilt tankard, maker's mark of T.C with a fish above, London 1678, slight tapering circular form, later fluted decoration, scroll handle, the cover with a scroll thumb-piece, the front with a later embossed and engraved armorial within foliate scroll mantling, height 17cm, approx. weight 31.3oz. Provenance; The Highly Important Collection of Old English and Foreign Silver, The Property of William Randolph Hearst Esq., removed from St. Donat's Castle, Wales, Messrs. Christie, Manson and Woods, 14 December, 1938, lot 72. The arms are those of Bertie, for those granted in 1550 to the father of Richard BERTIE, MP for Lincolnshire, who married the daughter and sole heiress of Lord Willoughby de Eresby and widow of the Duke of Suffolk. His son's succession to the Willougby title was established and augmented in 1626 by the Earldom of Abingdon and in 1715 by the Dukedom of Ancaster and Kesteven. By 1678 a succession of heads of this family had served the crown in distinguished court, diplomatic and military ranks, and in 1678 Robert Bertie, 3rd Earl of Abingdon had been a Privy Councillor and Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire since 1666 and Gentleman of the Bedchamber since 1674. An 18th century Scandinavian silver peg tankard, maker's mark E.P, circa 1708, cylindrical form, the body, base and cover set with coins, the hinged cover with a rampant lion thumb-piece, foliate scroll handle with a shield terminal, on three lion and ball feet, the cover inscribed 'MICHAEL FELGENHAUER ANNO 1708', the underside with a later presentation inscription and engraved 'NO.15, 37oz', height 19cm, approx. weight 36oz.
A George II silver tankard, by Richard Bayley, London 1748, baluster form, later embossed foliate scroll decoration, with a presentation inscription, domed hinged cover with a pierced thumb-piece, scroll handle with a shield-shaped terminal, on a circular foot, height 19.2cm, approx. weight 25.9oz.
An 18th century Scandinavian silver peg tankard, maker's mark PC, script, circular form, scroll handle with a cherub mask mount, the hinged cover with a rampant lion and ball thumb-piece and set with a coin and inscribed and dated '1761', the body also with an inscription, the interior with four pegs, on three foliate capped cone feet, height 17.5cm, approx. weight 19.5oz.
