A George III Silver Mug, Makers Mark Rubbed ?*W, London 1765, plain tapering with reeded girdle, scroll handle with heart shaped terminal, engraved with the initial 'W', formerly a tankard now lacking cover, 15cm high, 18oz 16dwt . Makers mark only partially visible, other marks rubbed but legible. Front erased and later initial added, quite thin in this area. Some neat solder around top of handle. Bumps and bruises in a few places to body and around lower handle junction.

The goblet has been glued just above the knop and the foot has some chips.

Condition: tankard; two chips to inside rim, inside base of both handles appear to have been secluded, Tabasco jar: small firing crack and thin chip to inside of cover, some firing imperfections to main body.

An 18th century Norwegian silver tankard, three lion and ball supports with raised and engraved panels to lower and the body inset with nine 16th and 17th Century Danish silver coins, the hinged lid having a further coin inset to the centre and repeated lion and ball finial to handle, 870g, 17.5cm high Overall in fair to good condition for its age. The support bases are heavily worn. The shield is bent. Typical wear and damage from age. Lid fits well but hinge a bit loose.
