George III tankard of plain form with personal engraving, scrolling handle and thumb piece, raised above a circular stepped base. Height measures 5 inches (12cm), weight 9.44ozt (293.5gms). Hallmarked London 1767, sponsors mark reads S.I. The tankard is in reasonably good condition. There are surface scratches, small dents and dints, and areas of tarnish to the whole. There is a small circular hole in the underside of the top of the handle. The inside of the tankard is discoloured. There is an engraved monogram on the front. There are bends to the top and bottom rims. The hallmark is slightly rubbed, the sponsor's mark even more so, but all are legible.
A 1960's half pint tankard of plain form with scroll handle and personal presentation engraving, raised above a circular stepped base. Height measures 4 inches (10.5cm), weight 6.64ozt (206.4gms). Hallmarked Elkington & Co Birmingham 1963. The tankard is in good condition. There are some minor surface scratches and small areas of tarnish to the whole. There is a build-up of polish around the handle, and a large area of discolouration over the hallmark where a sticky label or sellotape has been stuck. The side of the tankard is engraved 'To G.E. Barker Esq. M.B.E. from Pirelli Sports Club to mark his retirement as chairman'. This inscription is clear and distinct, as is the hallmark, and the mark on the base which reads ' 37460 ELKINGTON'.
An Indian white metal tankard of tapered form engraved with a elephant, camel, stag and tiger also with a floral and foliate motif and scrolling handle modeled as a snake with gilt interior. Engraved to the base Ulwar 1878. Height including handle measures 5 inches (12.5cm). Together with a white metal spoon with figurative engraving to the bowl and handle modeled as a snake, length measure 4 1/4 inches (11cm). Gross weight 13.88ozt (431.9gms). The tankard is in extremely good condition. There are some surface scratches, small areas of tarnish, and tiny notches to the whole, but these are minor. The rim of the tankard appears to have once been gilded, but this is mostly worn away, although the gilding on the interior of the tankard is intact. There is some discolouration to the interior. The engraved decoration is clear and unrubbed, as is the inscription on the base. he spoon is in very good condition, although not quite as good as the tankard. The handle is slightly rubbed, and there are some areas of tarnish and minor scuffs to the bowl.
