A Creussen stoneware pewter-mounted tankard (Apostelkrug), late 17th century, moulded in relief and enamelled with the twelve Apostles flanking the pascal lamb, with an 18th century German red-glazed hot water jug with gilded decoration, a tall English creamware mug painted in polychrome enamels with a Long Eliza holding a parasol, and a pearlware mug printed and hand-coloured with Chinese figures in a garden, damages, 15.8cm max. 60/61 Manchester United v The Rest Players Tankard: Issued to Dave Gaskell for participating in the match at Old Trafford on 29 10 1960. Match was between the Central League 59/60 Champions Manchester United and The Rest. Tankard is engraved with players name and match details with a Central League badge attached. Very good.

Aufgewölbter Scharnierdeckel, umzogen von korrespondierendem Buckeldekor und Godronenband. Zentral als Bekrönung auf einem runden Sockel die vollplastische Darstellung eines über einen Eichenbaum springenden Hirsches. Ausgestellter, von Godronen und Akanthusblättern umzogener Stand, übergehend in zylindrischen Korpus. Aufgewölbter, korrespondierend gestalteter Scharnierdeckel bekrönt von vollplastischer Darstellung der Göttin Fortuna. Seitlich stark volutierter, mit Maskaron besetzter Henkel. Gerade Wandung dreireihig besetzt mit insges. 40 Münzen des Deutschen Reiches von 1818 bis 1876. Darunter u.a. ein Taler mit König Ernst August von Hannover von 1840, ein Vereinstaler des Fürstentums Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, ein Frankfurter Vereinstaler von 1864, ein sog. Madonnentaler Bayern König Ludwig II. von 1867 und eine 5-Mark-Münze des Königreichs Preußen mit Kaiser Wilhelm I. von 1876. Unterseitige Widmung "Herrn Karl Marti in dankbarer Erinnerung Lucy Oppenheimer, Nora Allatini, 1918". Innen vergoldet. Gest. 800, Herstellerzeichen, Händlermarke der Gebrüder Friedländer. Lucie Esther Oppenheimer (1883-1935) und Nora Noëmi Allatini/später Robbins (1889-1954), waren die Töchter von Alexander Isaac Meyer-Cohn, Mitinhaber des Berliner Bankhauses Meyer-Cohn sowie bedeutender Autographen- und Büchersammler. Beide Schwestern lebten mit ihren Ehemännern in London, pflegten aber während der Kriegsjahre enge Verbindungen nach Deutschland, insbesondere zu deutschen Persönlichkeiten aus Kunst und Kultur darunter u. a. Seltener, schwerer Barock-Deckelhumpensog. Mantelhumpen. Silber, teilw. vergoldet. Ausgestellter, gekehlter und unterhalb verschraubter Stand, gegliedert von zarten Profillinien sowie verziert mit vier applizierten Ornamenten, übergehend in zylindrischen Korpus. Die Wandung umzogen von einer separat getriebenen, über den Korpus geschobenen und durch den verschraubten Stand fixierten Manschette. Darauf umlaufend reliefplastische, mythologische Darstellungen von Nymphen, Tritonen und anderen Meereswesen über stilisierten Wellen. Scharnierter, gewölbter Deckel mit ausgestelltem Rand. Zentraler Balusterknauf über vollplastischer Rosette aus geschnittenen Blättern, umzogen von reliefplastisch getriebenen Muscheln, im Wechsel mit applizierten, stilisierten Maskaron-Ornamenten. Schmaler, volutierter Ohrenhenkel in korrespondierender, zweigeteilter Daumenrast endend. Innen vergoldet. Gest., Tremolierstrich, Beschauzeichen, Meister David I Schwestermüller (wird Meister 1628). Some slight surface scratches and nicks as to be expected and commensurate with age and use. Foot rim just a little out of shape. Stands well on a flat surface with just a slight wobble. No personal engraving. Hallmarks clear and readable.
