Two nineteenth brown glaze stoneware sprig moulded Doulton Lambeth pieces, c. 1880. To include: a jug that reads: Bread at Pleasure, Drink by Measure, When you doubt Abstain. Together with a tankard with five themed panels: This is the tree that never grew, this is the bird that never flew, this is the bell that never rang, this is the fish that never swam. Both marked. 15 - 19 cm tall. (2)Condition: In good overall condition. Tiny glaze nick to the rim of the jug.Provenance: Ex-Kentish Collection.
