Collection of Tennis Ceramics: to incl. a breakfast set of a plate, cup and saucer each decorated with a green transfer showing a pair of convex wedge rackets below a shield and the letters `F` and `P` to either side. The base is stamped `J. Abraham`s Canterbury`, plus a Victorian child`s plate decorated with a hand coloured transfer scene of four boys playing shuttlecock c.1880 and Arthur Woods Sporting Series Tankard with hand coloured transfer scene of Jack Kramer and Margaret Osbourne from the 1947 Wimbledon championships fitted with a lawn tennis racket handle and come with the original Royal Bradwell art ware label. 1905 Twickenham Rowing Club Trophy: a scarce Royal Doulton stoneware tankard with silver band engraved "Twickenham Rowing Club Scratch Eights 1905" together with hunting/country scene figures in white relief - the base stamped with the Royal Doulton logo and production number 2599 and the initials "NE"- Note various hairline cracks and a chip to the inside of the rim hence (AF), overall 5.5".
A Chinese famille rose export porcelain tankard, Qianlong period, the cylindrical body painted in the Mandarin palette with four figures on a terrace, within an underglaze blue foliate scroll frame, flanked by smaller vignettes on an iron red and floral ground, applied with a moulded dragon handle, height approx 12cm.
