A George II silver tankard William Paradise, London, c.1730, later repoussé decorated with a fisherman, fruit and scrollwork, cartouche engraved with lion & 'TIMERE SPERNO', leaf capped handle, stepped circular foot, 4½in. (11.5cm.), weight 13.0 tr.oz.* Condition: Hallmarks rubbed, otherwise good.
A Chinese silver miniature vase the globular vase with twin branch style handles to the neck and short circular foot, , decorated with prunus on a matted, cracked ice ground, stamped 'HM90' to base, 8cm. high; together with a similarly decorated lidded mustard pot, of tankard form with blue glass liner, by Wang Hing of Hong Kong, stamped 'WH 90' mark, 4.7cm. high, silver weight 3.69 tr.oz. Some have been written on with permanent marker. Delftware plate with Firing faults, possible restoration. Chinese export piece with firing faults. Jug is restored. The lidded tankard with faults and cracks.
A pewter mounted German stoneware bierkrug, probably Creussen, probably 17th century, with a broad central band of lozenge ornament between bands of foliate crowns brightly coloured in blue, red, green, yellow and white enamel and enriched in gilding, the strap handle moulded with strapwork and with a hinged mount, the cover engraved with a young woman breast-feeding an infant, possibly the Holy Family, the initials ·E·M·W· below flanked by ANNO Chsto. and 1522., 16.7cm highProvenance: The Robert G. Two flat chips to the underside of the base, at the rim, the largest 1.3 cm. across and showing as a slight indent to the footrim when the tankard is standing upright, the smaller chip 0.5 cm. across. Approximately four small flat chips to the side of the tankard at the base alongside the footrim, the largest 1 cm. across, the others smaller and all retouched in matte brown paint. Minute area of chipping to moulded pattern on handle. Typical very minor wear to enamelled and gilded decoration.
