A late 17th century silver tankard with hinged domed lid, fancy thumb piece and scrolled handle, indistinct hallmarks clear makers mark for Frances Garthorne London G enclosing an A in a shaped punch, circa 1697. gross weight 14.5 troy ozs, 16cms tall Old repairs - principally - repair to thumb piece area on lid, circular patch on base of handle, bruise to body on area above armorial engraving on front.
