A George III silver mounted Chinese carved ivory tusk section lidded tankard, hallmarked London 1804, maker's mark of Stephen Adams The finial mounted hinged lid with a plain thumb piece above a scrolling dolphin cast handle, the main ivory body carved with figures and peacocks and Guanyin holding a ruyi sceptre whilst riding a phoenix, above a lappet cast base with ball feet. 26 cms high. CONDITION REPORTS: Some slight denting and surface wear to silver, some staining and minor fritting to ivory, general wear.
