A rare c1760 George III Longton Hall porcelain tankard with a scroll handle, signed J. Sadler, Liverpool, the slightly bellied body printed with a half length portrait flanked by floral and foliate branches and ribboned inscription, a spray of thistles and roses to each side, height 12.7cm. Restored. (See illustration) Note: See The Joseph M. Hadley Collection reference 1.18 page 31. Inspiration for this Sadler engraving came from the portrait of HRH George Prince of Wales by Henry Morland. We believe this is the same mug sold by Special Auction Services near Reading on June 9th 2002, for which the condition was described as 'one piece broken out and glued'. Condition Report: The tankard has been restored to much of the top edge and rim. The restoration would probably not been seen unless it was pointed out and has been well done, but when tapped there is a dull sound.
A Liberty & Co Tudric pewter and enamel hot water jug, designed by Archibald Knox, with enamel decoration, stamped TUDRIC, 0305 (lacks rattan), 20 cm high See illustration Condition report Report by NG Several dents and folds around base, opposite side to handle. Surface with scratches, pitting and tarnishing. Wax residue to surface. Four enamel roundels present, but each with some small nibbles to edges. Lip slightly misshapen. Lid doesn't sit quite flush. Rattan missing. Grubby with traces of red around top of handle, thumb piece and top of tankard.

Four 19th Century Toby Jugs: A large pearlware seated 'snuff-taker' with black tricorn hat and shoes and a puce spray of foliage adorning the handle 10 ins (26 cms) in height. A Staffordshire Toby seated with a pipe and tankard of foaming ale wearing a lidded tricorn hat, frock coat over a plaid waistcoat and yellow breeches, 10 ins (25 cms) in height. A polychrome Toby 8 ins (20 cms) high, and another 6¾ ins (17 cms) in height.
A Large & Impressive Pewter Tankard of the Potters' Guild, Schleikanne Graz, bearing combined town & marker's mark of Graz on the handle with date 1690 and intials HS (Heinrich Schrötter). The scrolling handle with mascaron thumb piece. The lid surmounted by a rampant griffin holding a scrolling shield engraved with a man in a vase and the intials HK, PG and GP and date 1702. The flared base fitted with a bronze tap and raised on three winged angel heads, 21 ins (54 cms) in height.

Austrian Vienna style tankard : with wear to the metalwork and some wear to the gilding particularly to the handle, hinge of handle with replacement pin. Lustreware jug : with large repaired crack/chunk from the lip. Two figures : with much damage throughout, one missing arms, broken neck and broken base, the other with chip to hand, broken between feet and pedestal and large chip to base. Teapot : with handle broken in three places, crazing and discolouration throughout particularly to the end of the spout. Fruit bowl : with crazing and discolouration throughout, scratching and losses to the over-glaze decoration, interior with scratching and chipping throughout.
