Two Edwardian stained wood and brass bound rudders, dated for 1908 and 1909 for Trinity College, Oxford and each inscribed with the names of eight oarsmen and `HENLEY`, 43cm long; and three Edwardian pewter lidded tankard trophies, dated for 1907 and 1908, awarded by and inscribed for Radley College, two examples 17cm high, the third 12.5cm high; together with a rowing capPlease note, this lot also contains a pair of painted wood oars. These are not listed in the catalogue description but are illustrated.
A Rare 1920's Ashstead Potters Art Deco ceramic character jug tankard depicting Stanley Melbourne Bruce sitting in a Sphinx-like pose smoking a pipe. A full Action Ration^ Air Ministry Sunglasses^ a certificate from Norway thanking Thomas Bell for helping with the 8th May 1945 liberation of Norway; also a Bell`s service book with signed menus^ Burma association letter^ medal slips and letters with mention of D.F.C Winner. A large amount of ephemera with metal bring back tankard and cigarette case. Overall good^ standard tarnishing slight rust to metal parts of this lot otherwise good. Viewing advised for this large group.
