A group of Chinese export porcelain armorial wares comprising a tankard and three soup platesall decorated with the armorial crests of the Seton familythe tankard of cylindrical form with applied interlaced foliate strap handle, the rim printed in underglaze blue with a deep cell border above a pendant band, the handle heighted in blue, the front with a gilt shield shaped armorial (crazed), the plates comprising one with a central oval polychrome armorial within a gilt Vitruvian scroll band, the wavy rim with underglaze blue printed foliate and cell decoration, another with an asymmetrical polychrome and foliate armorial, within a gilt pendant band, the rim with four gilt shaped rectangular panels with grisaille landscapes, the last with a central shield shaped and polychrome armorial within a gilt border, the canted rim with a Famille Rose wavy gilt and floral sprigged border (cracked), the tankard, 16.5cm high, the soup plates, 24.5cm diameter, 23cm diameter and 22.5cm diameter (4)Footnotes:Provenance UK family private collection, thence by descent to the present owner. The crests applied to the porcelain in the above lot are that of the Seton family, who were one of Scotland's ancient families and who resided at various times at Seton Place and at Fyvie Castle, until their departure in the mid 18th century.The lineage of the family dates back to the early 14th century when Sir Cristopher Seton married Lady Christian Bruce, sister of King Robert the Bruce. A later descendent was Mary Seton who was was lady-in-waiting to Mary Queen of Scots and one of her famed 'four Marys'. Alexander Seton, 1st Earl Dunfermline added Seton tower as the entrance in 1599. A Part Royal Crown Derby Bone China Old Imari Pattern 1128 Dinner Service, comprising - four 10.58ins dinner plates, four 8.5ins side plates, together with a tankard with flared base, 5.25ins high, two-handled mug, 3ins high, and a breakfast cup and saucerAll the items in this lot appear to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration All four of the largest plates have scratches through the backstamps, a number of these have large blue painted marks. This applies also to two of the smaller plates.

Illingworth, Esq, M.P. for Cut Roses, 12 Blooms Won by J.M Tankard, Esq, J.P.', 16.5cm diameter, 10.5cm high, 12oz 15dwt, 397grFully marked near rim. The marks are clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points and the engraving. There are some minor dings. Rocks very slightly when placed on a level surface.

One vase missing pierced lid, gilding very rubbed on both, some scratches to the emamel, hairline cracks to both pedestals. Collection of 19th century Wemyss pottery items, mainly depicting cockerels to include: large tyg, two handled mug, straight sided tankard, cylinder and other vases etc, together with some Stoke on Trent Longton Pottery depicting cockerels marked 'Bon Jour'. (13) (B.P. 21% + VAT) All of the Wemyss is crazed with some sort of damage, some much worse than others with heavy cracks, chips, losses etc. The tyg has been extensively damaged and repaired.
