A GEORGE II SILVER TANKARDembossed with flora and scrolls, hallmarked for Newcastle 1738, maker IC with O above, the tankard bearing an engraved cartouche dated Xmas 1871, the lower terminal of the handle incorporating a whistle, tankard height including handle top 12cm, 8.5 diameter, weight 301grams, 9.6 troy ozs Condition report: Generally good; body with isolated minor dents; engraving clear; decoration with a slightly rounded, polished profile; a few small flat-spots to edge of foot rim.
AN 18TH CENTURY WORCESTER TANKARD underglaze blue printed 'La Peche' and 'La Promenade Chinoise', with grooved strap handle, blue crescent mark to base, 14.5cm high Condition Report : long hairline crack running from 1/3 down from top, through promenade pattern and onto base. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting (where possible) any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
ROYAL DOULTON FLAMBE VASE the flambe vase with a depiction of a shepherd holding a crook within a landscape scene, 13cms high. With an inscribed Doulton Lambeth tankard, possibly a Christening tankard with the name William Frederick Norton, with a 1903 coin attached to the handle (9.5cms high), and also with a Royal Doulton Winston Churchill jug (22.5cms high).
