Condition report: good overall, minor push from one foot visible to the interior.

The lid interior has an engraved presentation inscription dated 1792. Minor dings and scratches, engraved monogram to the lid.

A late 18th/early 19th century Norwegian parcel gilt silver peg tankard, with applied and embossed foliate decoration, the lid with pierced foliate centre and thumbpiece modelled as a bird feeding, with scroll handle, on three melon shaped feet, marks on base, Bergen, circa 1790-1812, height 14.5cm, 18oz.CONDITION: Quite tarnished. There is a split to the applied decoration on the main body, at the top by one of the flower heads and there is part of a leaf? missing by the top left of the handle. Handle a little loose in situ. Minor wear to the decoration in places, commensurate with age and some use. Minor dits to the handle, in general. Marks on base, some a little indistinct.
