A LARGE 18TH CENTURY PEWTER 'UNION SOCIETY' JUG AND ANOTHER. The large lidded jug with a domed cover, the straight sided body with a horizontal band and streading foot, with scrolling handle engraved with two shaking hands and inscription 'Union Society Established April 22nd 1814: Benjn. Codling Headsman, John Claxton Clerk, Matthew Crask and James Reeves , Supervisors' With a William IV Duty mark to the top, 34cm high, 20cm wide. PEARLWARE including a blue and white tankard with a transfer printed design of buildings by a lake, and a steamer and small fishing boat (13cms high), a pearlware plate with Egyptian scene, a tureen base, ladle and two saucers. Also with a spongeware cow creamer with collection label (C K Buckingham Collection), and a creamware figure of a lady. Various damages. (8)
18THC WORCESTER TANKARD - LANDSCAPE SCENE a large porcelain tankard of cylindrical form, the front painted with a landscape scene within an oval panel with leaf border. Also painted with sprigs of flowers and leaves, and with a blue and gilt border to the rim and base rim. Restoration to section of the body and base rim, Blue Crescent mark to base. 15.5cms high
CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE 'BAJIXIANG' BOWL Jiaqing seal mark and possibly of the period, painted to the exterior with the bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Emblems) divided into four pairs, each tied toggery with a brocade ribbon, between a band of iron red key fret at the rim and ruyi above the foot (with old paper label inside, some damages, 10.5cms diameter). Also with a Chinese blue and white tankard, probably 18thc, 14cms high. (2)

Clarice Cliff - Convolvulus Fantasy - An early Tankard shape coffee service circa 1928, hand painted with stylised flower heads and tendrils over a honey glazed ground with rust red banding, S/D. NB - To date this is believed to be the only recorded example of this design and comes from a range of early hand painted wares with similar outlining and execution which developed in to more main stream production patterns.
