A rare and impressive 18th century Channel Island silver large beer or cider tankard maker's mark PD crowned (Philippe le Vavasseur dit Durell, Jersey, c.1700-1745), of slightly tapered form, with single girdle and moulded rim and flared foot, substantial hollow s-scroll handle with label thumbpiece, engraved foliate decorated initials to front 'JWJ', 5½in. (14cm.) high, weight 16.25 tr.oz.

CARTIER; a sterling hallmarked silver sugar scoop with turned ivory handle, raised on stepped circular foot, length 12.5cm, also a novelty electroplated money bank modelled as a tankard, stamped "Jurst" to the base (2). CONDITION REPORT: The hinged lid of the money box has a major dent and does not have a key (lid is locked), rubbing and tarnished throughout. Scoop has a dent to the back and the base is misshapen, covered with tarnish.
