There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some small dings to the sides. There are no obvious thin areas but the tankard has perhaps been erased.

A pair of Chinese Imari tankards, circa 1720; together with a dish and saucer with Nanking Cargo sticker to the base and another Chinese blue and white saucer (5)The tea bowl - has chipping to the rim with a slight discoloured fracture line running down from the rim. Some black pitting to the glaze and roughness to the base.The smaller saucer - has a large chip to the rim with markings and scratches to the surface. Some faults to the glaze. The larger dish - has staining to the top surface with some larger glaze faults. Damage and roughness to the base and the rim, with discoloured staining throughout. One tankard - has a chip to the rim near the handle with a fracture line running down the body of the tankard. Fading to the gilt and paint in some areas, with dark markings to the handle and area around the handle. Also a small areas on the foot of the base.
