Seltener Creußener ApostelhumpenHöhe: 16 cm. Deckel mit Zinnpunzierung „FT“ neben zwei Türmen. Innerhalb des figürlichen Programms datiert „1662“. Creußen, 1662.Steinzeug, gedreht, gemodelt, polychrom staffiert und zinnmontiert. Über unglasiertem Stand der profilierte Standring. Leicht konischer niedriger Korpus mit Profilringen, C-Handhabe und Stülpscharnierdeckel mit dreifachem Scheibenknauf in Zinn mit Besitzermonogramm in Gravur: „N.W.V.S“ sowie „H.P.V.S.“ Die Wandung mit dichtem figürlichem Programm die zwölf Apostel zeigend, die durch Maiglöckchendekor miteinander verbunden sind und ihre Attribute tragen. Darüber Rotolus mit Namensnennung der Apostel. Zentral gesetzte Tondokartusche mit dem Wappen von Philipp von Seyboth, der darunter schriftliche Erwähnung findet. Handhabe mit Löwenmasqueron und Akanthusblattdekor. Allseits auf dem braunen Fond polychrom glasiert und die Gesichtszüge der Apostel herausgearbeitet.Anmerkung: Philipp Seyboth, Altbürgermeister von Rothenburg und Landvogt, wurde 1661 geadelt; fortan waren es die Freiherren von Seyboth. A LATE GEORGE II SILVER TANKARDOf baluster form, with a scrolling handle, openwork thumbpiece and raised on a circular foot, height 19.5cm, the body later presentation inscribed, London 1758, maker Fuller White, weight 751 gms, the inscription relates to the Honourable Artillery Company, Light CavalryCondition Report: Hallmarks underneath and within the lid are clear. Interior gilding is rather weak. Maker's mark to outside of handle is a little rubbed. Otherwise generally good condition.

A GEORGE II SILVER COVERED TANKARD BY WILLIAM SHAW & WILLIAM PRIEST, London 1754, the domed lid engraved with initials and with a scrolling thumbpiece, above a cylindrical plain tapered body engraved with a crest above a moulded girdle, 'S' scroll handle with a curved spade terminal, 18cm high, 20.8ozt, 648.9 grams (Condition report: general surface wear, scratches and small knocks, particularly to the cover dome and foot rim, there is a patch of solder to the inside of the lid, the bolt inside the hinge is loose and can drop out, as a consequence the hinge has lots of play in all directions, heavily tarnished throughout, the underside of the base shows ring of solder, exterior hallmarks quite rubbed, not sitting totally level on a flat surface, approx. diameter of the foot is 11.5cm)
