A .54 AUSTRIAN LORENZ MODEL 1854 PERCUSSION SERVICE RIFLE, CIRCA 1857, serial no. 247, complete with bayonet, with 37in. two stage octagonal at breech to round, with oval block and blade front-sight, the fixed block vee rear-sight a probably replacement, bevelled lock stamped '857' for 1857 in centre, iron mounted beech stock with raised cheek rest, three spring retained barrel bands, the top band also formed as a nosecap with trumpet mouthed ramrod pipe, the stock has been lightly cleaned with a few wood worm holes, complete with a correct bayonet (rusted and pitted overall) without scabbard.
