An 18th century style wine glass having a double spiral-twist stem and raised on circular folded foot (17cm high) This has come privately and has a folded foot and a rough pontil mark to the central underside. There are some bubbles present in the foot and the circular foot is not “uniform” although we do not think this indicates any grinding down of glass to the extremities. There is one area of the underside of the foot that has a slight “kink” although this is not necessarily indicative of restoration, the main double spiral stem appears in good order as does the inverted trumpet shaped bowl. The central section of the bowl (although viewable on the outside, prevalent on the insie) has a rising wrythen imperfection that manifests itself as a raised area to the middle although again in our opinion this is natural and not as a result of any problematical issues.
