A large contemporary clear glass trumpet form vase with knop stem and spreading foot, together with a Murano style square section rippled glass vase. A Clarkes patient Cricklite ormolu mounted clear glass seven light table candelabrum, each bell shaped shade supported on a scrolling wirework arm from a lotus cast tapered octagonal column, the socle with trumpet shaped specimen flower vases, spreading circular base, Lion paw feet, 79cm high, c.1890Samuel Clarke, one of several English designers of lighting devices, patented a glass cup covered with a dome on December 14th 1885. His company promoted the lamps as a way to sell there own candles. Clarkes original lamps feature a fairy embossed into the bottom as can be seen in these examples. They became so popular that all small candle-based lamps became know as fairy lamps. Queen Victoria reportedly purchase 1500 of his fairy lamps for her own use.Provenance: Christies sale, London, c.1995

An impressive black stone and marble cased figural Mantel Clock surmounted by a band of three putti, with a trumpet, horn and cymbals with a shell backdrop and a breaking wave base, the face with pierced and scrollwork details and Arabic numerals. (Sadly now fitted with a modern quartz movement), 15 1/8'' wide x 8 5/8'' deep x 21 1/2'' high.

POOLE; a group of eight ceramics to include three c.1929 ceramics from the Carter Stabler Studio, in the Bloomsbury style, a lidded squat bowl, height 10.5cm, a preserve pot, height 10cm, a bowl with circular base, diameter 14cm and four other matching pattern items to include a cylindrical vase with flared rim, height 21cm, preserve jar, leaf dish and rectangular dish and one non-matching early 1930s trumpet vase, height 10cm (8). CONDITION REPORT Overall good condition, with light surface wear visible throughout, including light surface scratches, etc. No other obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration. A couple of examples have remnants of adhesive labels. One of the preserve pots has a chip to the finial and the larger black and yellow decorated example has a very minor chip to the top of the finial on the lid also.
A Victorian clear glass leech jar of baluster form, with a domed lid and faceted knop, raised on a domed foot, height 27cm, and two Art Nouveau style cast metal wall sconces, one five-branch, the other three-branch, both with mottled white and pink flared trumpet-form shades, the base plates with wrythen lilypad-style decoration, height 44cm . CONDITION REPORT Chip to base of the rim of the lid, various scratches, inherent air bubble to base of actual jar.
