Lot 158

* Lucie Rie (1902-1995), a baluster vase, white glazed, with trumpet form neck and iron brown rim, impressed "LR" monogram. Height 23.3 cm (see illustration). ARR CONDITION REPORT: Very good condition. No damage, repairs or restoration. We have looked at the vase under UV light and find no issues.

* Eric J. Mellon, two bowls, trumpet vase and baluster vase in the Tsang style, the base inscribed "Eric James Mellon pear ash No. 1 1970 ded, to Mary, Sarah and Michael". Height 20 cm, all four pieces signed and dated and with three letters from the artist to Mary Burkett. Also a circular shallow dish inscribed "Eric James Mellon 1969 pear ash No. 1 outside blackcurrant-ash No. 1" (damaged). ARR CONDITION REPORT: The large vase is in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is minor evidence of glaze crazing on the upper section of the vase and to the interior but we do not feel that this is significant. The mushroom shaped bowl is in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The two smaller bowls are both in good condition also with no issues. The plate has been badly damaged and a 5 inch section of the edge has been re-glued and is in five pieces.
