A beautiful flintlock snaphaunce pistol by Negroni dating: third quarter of the 18th Century provenance: North Italy Smooth, three-stage, 10 mm cal. barrel, the first part is octagonal, the second chiselled with triangles and rings, the third is round, a small reparation on the left side; engraved at the base and the tang; flintlock decorated with beautiful high -and bas-relived effigy of busts and masks and engraved with floral motifs, sliding pan cover featuring a mask, the inside surface of the lock signed "Brento"; wooden full stock carved with floral motifs; steel mounts chiselled with busts, angels with trumpet, grotesque figures, snakes and floral motifs, partially pierced and engraved; leaf-shaped trigger; belt hook engraved and chiselled; wooden ramrod with iron cartridge extractor and horn and iron tip. A gilt small-sword dating: mid-18th Century provenance: France Straight blade of triangular section, with hollow faces, at the centre the engraved effigy of a canopy, at the forte a cartouche with the signature "Maupetit, fourbisseur de la maison du Roy / au Duc d'Orleans, au bas du pont St. Michel Paris". Iron sword-shell with two valves, decorated with bas-relieved trophies of drums, flags and other musical instruments, surrounded by flowers and rocaille on gilt and granulated ground; block with relieved trumpet and rocaille, rocaille and flowers on the guard and the parry quillon, on gilt ground too; grip with copper moor's heads and wire binding (defects); fine, spheroidal pommel decorated with bas-relieved trophies and floral motifs on gilt ground.dimensions: length 87,5 cm. A Victorian English porcelain rococo two handled vase and cover The pierced cover applied with flowers and leaves, down swept branching handles, the baluster body painted with a figure in landscape with a classical dwelling, the reverse similarly painted, overall applied with flowers and leaves, shaped circular base. 43cms. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1996: The cover - two large chips to the flowers at the apex, minor chips to the majority of the flowers attached to the cover, gilt work bright some crazing and blue glaze shrinkage around some of the pierced apertures. The two handled vase - each handle unrestored, gilt work generally bright to handles, minor rubbing on the top of the handle which would have been touched. The landscape of the sheep in front of the dwelling, some paint lacking to the right of the sheep and small paint loss to the left of the sheep, crazing to the landscape - narrow crazing but not broad crazing. Landscape with the figure to the left of the dwelling with tower - paint work generally in good condition, surface crazing as other landscape. Large leaf loss to the foot of the tower, leaf loss just to the right of the flower above, trumpet shaped flower missing to the right of the lower handle, majority of the flowers have chips to the outer petals, gilt work generally bright, overall the ground colour is crazed.

A fine early Victorian bur walnut and inlaid sewing table The shaped rectangular top with re-entrant angles, moulded border inlaid with scrolls and leaves enclosing a fitted compartmentalized interior with four compartments with pierced fretwork lids, the centre with a tapering vase shape wool box with a padded red silk cover above a bowfront inlaid frieze, the sides with shaped apron similarly inlaid raised upon four fluted and inlaid vase shape legs and trumpet shape feet raised upon ceramic castors, 74x63x43cms. A Victorian vaseline glass and green tinted epergne The lower crimped rim bowl extending to a central trumpet with spiral twist nodules and green pinched overhang, flanked by two twisted scroll branches, supporting baskets and two further flower holders with further spiral ring glass designs, 56cm high.

A late 19th Century WMF cut glass and EPNS table centrepiece, the central trumpet shaped vase with panels of relief diamonds and fan border above a similarly cut dish, raised on rococo scroll and spiral lobed cast base, marked WMF. A couple of small flake chips to dish, some rubbing to plate, 45cm high.
