A fine pair of wheel-lock pistols dating: second quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Saxony Smooth, octagonal, 15 mm cal. barrels with remains of another stamp; iron locks with inside wheel, smooth plate with oblique borders, sliding pan cover; wooden full stocks enriched with bone and mother of pearl inlays, depicting the effigy of a hunter with spear and trumpet, a hunter with bow and hounds, two hunters with bow and spear with their hounds chasing a wild boar, other hounds and wild animals, everything surrounded by trees, floral decorations, ornamental bands and hops. Under the wheels the royal, Saxon coat of arms in mother of pearl. Onion-shaped pommels decorated en suite. Iron trigger guard chiselled with foliage. Iron trigger guards. Bone-tipped wooden ramrods. Both pistols feature restorations: the lock (functioning) of one of the pistols has been replaced in a later period. Despite the restorations, it certainly is a scarce and interesting pair of pistols. dimensions: length 66 cm.

Elegant and thin, wooden full stock enriched with bone and mother of pearl inlays, decorated with the effigy of an angel with trumpet, wild animals and mythical animals, everything surrounded by floral decorations, ornamental bands and hops. Iron patchbox and anatonic trigger guard. Wooden ramrod wth iron cartridge extractor. Together with its powder-flak of fruit wood of octagonal section, with round base, enriched with bone and mother of pearl inlays, decorated with the effigy of wild animals and mythical animals, everything surrounded by floral decorations, ornamental bands and hops. The fuse on a small, lateral, bone plaque engraved with hound, the stopper of dark horn, iron suspension ring. On the side a small, leather cartridge case. dimensions: length 113.5 cm.

A large Wedgwood dragon lustre trumpet vase; Z4829, gilt printed marks to base, height 24.5cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: There is a 2 x 1.5cm rim chip which has been glued, this is in the form of one large chip and two tiny chips to either side of this. Otherwise we have signs of wear to the interior of the vase, some very light staining, some very minor rubbing to the gilding, and some light crazing around the foot rim.
