CONDITION REPORT: One vase has had professional restoration to the top lip. Two of the points have been restored and overpainted. There may also be a small hairline crack also covered by overpainting. The second vase is in good order with no issues other than very minor rubbing to the gilding.

Lot 77

A pair of Samson of Paris lidded vases, in the Chinese style, polychrome, and a pair of spill vases. Tallest 32 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Trumpet vase height 24 cm, vase height without lid 24 cm. Both trumpet vases are very dirty on the inside. One is in good condition with no damage, repairs or restoration. The second vase has had old professional restoration to the top quarter. The vase has clearly been broken, repaired and overpainted. The base of one of the lidded vases is in very good condition with no issues. The lid however has a substantial under edge chip which also impedes the gilt edge line. The second vase has had a substantial break across the body and up through the top lip. This has been glued and is clearly visible. The lid to this vase has also had restoration to the lion finial.
