marked GB, AB, GB, AB, the deep baluster bowl with flared rim, fluted lower section and engraved crest, motto and initials, on a knopped trumpet stem and with gadrooned foot(16cm high, 7.2oz)Heraldry: The crest as engraved upon this Scottish Provisional Sterling Silver Goblet by George and Alexander Booth of Aberdeen dating to circa 1825 – 50 is that of the family of Lumsden. It may be blazoned as follows: Crest: A naked arm grasping a sword proper Motto: Deo dono sum quod sum [By the gift of God I am what I am] Note: Undoubtedly the owner of this goblet claims descent from the family of the Lumsdens of Cushnie in the County of Aberdeenshire. They stemmed from Thomas Lumsden of Conland in the County of Fife and of Medlar in the County of Aberdeenshire, who was living during the mid to late 15th Century. Whether or not he was in the direct line of descent we have no knowledge, but if not, he was undoubtedly numbered as a member of one the numerous cadet branches of the family.

A late 20thC Royal Copenhagen vase, marked no. 22 53 51, of bellied form decorated with flowers with trumpet stem, on circular foot, printed marks beneath, 22cm high, Bisto England sugar bowl with gilt highlights on a fluted ground and a further Sitzendorf vase decorated with flowers on white ground, 10283 printed marks beneath. A resin four-piece Jazz band, height of tallest 98cm (all af) (4). CONDITION REPORT The tuxedos have been overpainted and there are heavy losses to the red paint throughout. There are also heavy losses to the faces and hair of all four musicians. The hands of the keyboard player are heavily damaged. The keyboard is a replacement - it is actually just a keyboard that has been painted black. The gentleman with the recorder is supposed to be holding a trumpet and the recorder is a replacement for this which has been painted gold. The saxophone has split throughout the end of the trumpet. The hands of the double bass player have splits as well. General heavy wear throughout and requires a lot of attention.
