An opaque-twist wine glass , circa 1760, the bell bowl supported on a triple knopped double series stem and a conical foot, 17cm high; an opaque twist wine glass of drawn trumpet form, circa 1760, 18cm high; and an airtwist wine glass, mid 18th century, round funnel bowl and shoulder knopped stem filled with spiral threads and a conical foot, 16.5cm high
A pair of 19th Century Neoclassical Grecian cast iron vase shaped ornaments, of ovoid half fluted form with twin volute handles, the body cast in relief with fruiting vine band, the waisted trumpet shaped neck with a still leaf band and cast acanthus rim, on circular foot and square plinth base, 61cm high.
6th-10th century AD. A flat-section hoop with facetted shoulders, trumpet bezel with intaglio chi-rho motif, alpha and omega. 5.10 grams, 29mm overall, 19.40mm internal diameter (approximate size British S 1/2, USA 9 1/2, Europe 20.98, Japan 20) (1 1/4"). From a private collection of rings, acquired 1970s. Extremely fine condition.
3rd-4th century AD. A gold hoop formed as two parallel wires joined by spaced granules, trumpet bezel with beaded collar, inset garnet cabochon. 6.59 grams, 30mm overall, 18.55mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q 1/2, USA 8 1/4, Europe 18.12, Japan 17) (1 1/4"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Very fine condition. A large wearable size.
4th-5th century AD. A round-section hoop with notches to the shoulders, trumpet-shaped bezel with inset polychrome glass panel, intaglio profile female bust. Cf. Taylor, G. & Scarisbrick, D. Finger Rings from Ancient Egypt to the Present Day, Oxford, 1978, item 209 for type. 1.88 grams, 22mm overall, 13.90mm internal diameter (approximate size British F, USA 2 3/4, Europe 3.67, Japan 3) (1"). Property of a Suffolk gentleman. Fine condition.

A flat-section gold hoop with outer bands of beaded wire, granules with beaded wire coils, square garnet cloisons to the shoulders, trumpet bezel with wire collar, granules with piriform fillets to the outer face, inset garnet cabochon. 8.34 grams, 35mm overall, 22.17mm internal diameter (approximate size British Z 1/2, USA 12 3/4, Europe 29.49, Japan 28) (1 1/2"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Very fine condition. A large wearable size.

A cusped D-section silver-gilt hoop with discoid pad to the underside, piriform panel to each shoulder with niello-inlaid scroll motif, trumpet bezel with intaglio standing bird among pellets. 16 grams, 30mm overall, 20.27mm internal diameter (approximate size British V, USA 10 1/2, Europe 23.77, Japan 23) (1 1/4"). Property of a Surrey collector; acquired in the early 1970s. Fine condition, usage wear.
