A cut glass and gilt metal eight branch chandelier in Charles X taste, 20th century, loosely of trumpet form, the corona cast with acanthus leaves suspending chains cast with masks and rosettes, descending to a circlet cast with seated amorini, urns and swags, hung with beaded chains and oblong pendants overall, 100cm highCondition Report: The chandelier bears the usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall commensurate with age and use. Two of the metal chains with mounts have one or two broken strands, and a couple of pendants are missing. One or two of the beads have slight yellow marks or discolouration. One of the bead chains to the lower tier has broken and may need to be reattached. Overall the gilding is bright and even, and the chandelier is in perfectly presentable condition. The shades are slightly scratched and have some nibbling to bottom rims, and one has a horizontal circa 5cm crack. One or two of the pendants have minor chipping but overall the glass beads and pendants are in satisfactory condition. A few of the bead swags have come partially detached, and will need to be reattached to the frame.
