dating: 18th Century provenance: North Italy, Fine depiction of two, military musicians, one with a trumpet and one with a drum, dresses from the beginning of the 18th century. One with helmet and cuirass, the other with plumed hat. Both on a marble, colored base. height with base 27.5 - 29 cm.
dating: 19th Century provenance: France, Straight, double-edged blade of hexagonal section, engraved at the forte with flowers and trophies, with effigy of an angle playing a trumpet and a wolf near the anchor. Gilded, brass hilt, shell-guard with horns of plenty in relief and laurel branches surrounding a badge with enameled Maltese cross (a chip). Guard and pommel with garlands. Grip with mother-of-pearl grip scales. No scabbard. length 96,5 cm.

A Victorian Silver Pedestal Bowl, by Elkington and Co., Birmingham, 1897, with shaped circular bowl and trumpet foot, the interior of the bowl gilded, 22.5cm diam., 15oz. Fully marked inside bowl. The marks are clear. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the gilding at the high points.
