An unusual continental silver 800 stamped three part belt buckle depicting deities on a rococo leaf foliate swirl back along with a Siam silver place / name / menu holder having a kneeling deity raised on a circular plinth base, a silver (unmarked) child's rattle / whistle in the form of a trumpet, a silver hallmarked miniature ladle and another ladle of similar form. Belt buckle measures 12cms wide.
A George III wine glass, the trumpet stamped bowl above a single knop stem with elongated tear drop, raised on a conical folded foot, 15cm high, together with a George III sweetmeat glass, raised on a double knop stem with tear drop inclusion, raised on a conical folded foot, 13cm high, (AF), (2).
A silver tazza by Mappin & Webb, Birmingham, 1925, shaped circular with narrow ribbed moulded rim interspersed with four shells with pendant bellflowers, on trumpet foot, 9.5 cm. high, 21 cm. diameter, wt. 341 gm.In good condition, no bruises, date letter rubbed but still legible, minor surface scratches to interior.
A silver sweet tazza with pierced diaperwork sides, on stepped trumpet foot, probably by A. J. Zimmerman, Birmingham, 1911, 12.6 cm. diameter; also an Edwardian curved oblong sweet dish, Chester, 1908, with pierced sides and stamped bead rim, 14.3 cm. long, wt. 212 gm.Wear to maker's mark on first item, pinprick ding to base of second item and small split to rim otherwise good overall condition on both items.

Hardy (Thomas) The Trumpet-Major, 3 vol., first edition in book form, [one of 1000 copies], all with initial blank and half-titles, occasional spotting, original red cloth, upper cover blocked in black with title and two vignettes of encampment and mill after the author, lower cover with 3-rule border in blind (secondary binding), pictorial spines in gilt and black, cream endpapers, spines a little rubbed and faded, otherwise a very good copy, preserved in modern cloth drop-back box, [Purdy 31], 8vo, Smith, Elder, & Co., 1880. ⁂ First published in monthly instalments in Good Words, from January to December 1880. Purdy notes that this secondary binding is scarcer than the primary with 2-rule border on lower cover.
