In ausgezeichnetem Erhaltungszustand. Provenienz: Italienische Privatsammlung. (12512917) Francesco Trevisani, 1656 Capodistria '''' 1746 Rome THE AWAKENING SAINT JEROME Oil on canvas. 93 x 74 cm. Ca. 1715 - 1720. There a numerous paintings in the artist''~s oeuvre that show similarities with the work on offer for sale in this lot, for example another painting of Saint Jerome in which the saint is receiving his divine awakening by means of trumpet sounds (Florence, Pandolfini). However, paintings of Jesus Christ by Trevisani also easily compare, as Alessandro dell Priori explains in his expert''~s report. In very good condition. Provenance: Private collection, Italy.
