Late 19th century German porcelain set of five 'Monkey Band' figures in the Meissen style, some damages, blue underglaze mark, 12cm and 16cm. CONDITION REPORT: Monkey in light green jacket - gilding losses, jacket rather dirty - chip to turban.Pink drummer - scuffs to gilding, slightly dirty in places.Pink piper - rubbed in places, jacket and pipes dirty.Green trumpet player - trumpet broken off, one part of which is missing. Part glued back on other part is loose. Section of trumpet coming immediately from mouth is missing. Rubbed in areas. tip of trumpet rubbed. Dirty mark on coat.Conductor - missing left hand. Baton missing above hand. Gilding rubbed at base.
A late 19th century pink and milk glass centrepiece with a circular bowl with flared wavy rim and matched trumpet vase above later spelter figural base, height 74cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is sellotape wrapped around the base of the trumpet vase where it meets the spelter mounts, possibly reglued underneath.

Two very similar Mary Gregory cranberry glass, baluster shaped jugs with clear shell moulded handles, both decorated with figures in landscapes, together with a blue glass waisted jug with floral decoration and a green glass trumpet vase with applied shell decoration. (4) CONDITION REPORT: Mary Gregory jugs: big crack/damage to handle and body of first vase. Other jug appears ok, no significant damage. White enamel decoration very yellow/dirty. Surface scratches and wear. Two very minor hairlines to spout.
1960s Norman Hartnell Cream wool Tweed Coat. Features trumpet sleeves, piping around the neck, down the edge-edge front and around the cuffs. Labelled 'Hartnell' - dressmaker to HRH the Queen and Royal family members. Length 43 inches, bust 42 inches (laid flat), sleeve length 24 inches. Very good condition.
9th century AD. A flat-section penannular gold hoop with low-relief braid detailing, openwork trumpet bezel with inset keeled garnet cabochon. Cf. Oman, C.C. Victoria and Albert Museum Catalogue of Rings, reprinted Ipswich, 1993, item 240. 6.15 grams, 31mm overall, 18.34mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q, USA 8, Europe 17.59, Japan 17) (1 1/4"). From a European collection; formerly in an old Oriental collection; acquired 1960. The stone was examined in detail by Dr. Bonewitz who observed: 'The garnet has a slight cloudiness that adds a slight opacity, which enriches the already good colour. A very rich and desirable stone.' Fine condition.
1st century AD. A mould-blown iridescent glass jar with dimple base and panel texture to the body, restricted aperture, trumpet-shaped neck and rolled rim. Cf. Whitehouse, D. Roman Glass in the Corning Museum of Glass, vol.2, New York, 2001, item 506 for type. 43 grams, 79mm (3 1/4"). Private collection, North London; acquired in the early 1990s. Fine condition.
4th-5th century AD. A large hollow-formed discoid bronze buckle plate with slotted strap curved to the underside, double-domed loop with slots the the inner face; faceted curved tongue with trumpet-shaped finial; three thimble-shaped studs. Cf. Menghin, W. The Merovingian Period. Europe Without Borders, Berlin, 2007, item III.7.3.1 for type. 78 grams, 73mm (3"). Property of an East Anglia gentleman; acquired on the London art market. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
5th-3rd century BC. A blackware ceramic lekythos with tiered base, bulbous body with loop handle to the shoulder, trumpet-shaped neck and chamfered rim; red gusset to the base and cross to the underside. 220 grams, 11.5cm (4 1/2"). Property of an East Anglia gentleman; acquired on the London art market. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
Later 1st-2nd century AD. A silver-gilt plate brooch with openwork scrolled trumpet motifs; pin-lugs and catch to the reverse. Cf. Beck, H. et al. Fibel und Fibeltracht, Berlin, 2000, fig.112 (18"). 7.67 grams, 30mm (1 1/4"). Property of a private collector; acquired before 1975. Fine condition, usage wear.
