THE NEW JAZZ ORCHESTRA - LE DEJEUNER SUR L'HERBE - The extremely few on the ground original UK mono pressing on Verve of this star studded LP (VLP 9236). Featuring the likes of Jack Bruce on Bass, Michael Gibbs on trombone, Ian Carr on trumpet and flugel with it all directed by Neil Ardley. The record is in VG condition with some light surface marks and scuffs, perhaps most notable running through side 2. It must be noted that this is a surface mark only and not a deeper scratch. The sleeve is in clean VG+ condition with some light wear to the laminate and some minor shelfwear.

A George IV Scottish Provincial silver goblet by Peter Ross, Aberdeen, circa 1820 ("A", PR, "A"), on trumpet foot, engraved with frieze of fruiting vines above coat of arms, probably for Mortimer to one side and initials "WM" to other side, 14.9 cm. high, wt. 319 gm.In good condition, very slight wear to coat of arms, the marks are on the base, on a separate disc that covers the hollow foot.

JAMES POWELL WHITEFRIARS; a sherry glass with ribbed trumpet bowl, plain stem and slight wrythen moulded foot, height 13.4cm, illustrated on page 289 of the EVANS, ROSS & WERNER; WHITEFRIARS GLASS, JAMES POWELL & SONS OF LONDON as set no.2445 and three similar glasses with ribbed trumpet bowls, double ball knopped stems and plain feet, height 13.6cm, 13.7cm and 12cm (4). CONDITION REPORT: The first glass has a miniscule chip to the rim and a miniscule chip to the foot, otherwise all four appear good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
