A Commonwealth silver wine cup, maker`s mark possibly that of a bird with a branch in its beak, see Jackson`s revised edition, p120, London 1652, struck with lion passant under base of foot, the hexagonal shaped bowl chased with arches and punched beading below, the base of the bowl with a partially matted trumpet foot, engraved with crest, struck with lion passant under foot, 9.5cm high
A Charles II silver wine cup, maker`s mark unclear, possibly SR with cinquefoil below, circa 1665, on a trumpet shaped foot punched with a band of matting, the slightly tapering bowl chased with a stylised grape decoration against a matted background within rectangular panels with punched beading above and below, the base of the bowl punched with a flowerhead, prick dot engraved GN *BS, 8.5cm high.
