A WWII Captain’s khaki BD blouse of The Rifle Brigade, printed shoulder titles, compositon buttons, medal ribbons MC, etc, factory label dated 1944, near VGC and evidently seldom worn (formation patches removed from sleeves, one tiny moth hole); a Geo V Brigadier’s scarlet mess jacket, blue facings and shoulder straps, named to the Earl of Redcar and dated 1915. GC (a few moth traces and one or two holes)
A late Vic presentation 1827 pattern rifle officers sword, straight fullered blade 31” by Edw Thurkle, Denmark St, Soho, London, etched with crowned VR cypher and “Presented to Staff Sergeant E J W Randle as a Mark of Esteem by the Members of F Company 2nd London Rifles on his Promotion, March 31, 1900”, regulation steel hilt incorporating crowned bugle, fishskin grip (wire missing), in its steel scabbard. GC (blade worn, hilt cleaned) (See lot 1043 for illustration).
A Vic 1827 pattern Rifle Officer’s sword by Hamburger & Co, curved pipe back blade 33” etched with crown, strung bugle, Rifle Brigade and inscription “No Me Saques Sin Razon No Me Embraines sin Honor”, steel Gothic hilt with wire bound fishskin covered grip. In its steel scabbard. GC (minor wear and marking to blade, hilt and scabbard tarnished) (See lot 1043 for illustration).
A Millita .177 break barrel air gun, No 2432, part octagonal barrel 17¾” with fixed sights. Nickel plated cylinder with press button barrel latch, adjustable trigger, straight hand stock with nickel plated butt plate; a 1907 patt bayonet and a knife by Thornhill London with SE flexible blade and replacement ivory handle with engraved silver band, air rifle GWO&C (bayonet grips replaced, knife blade poor)
A pre war Diana .177 break barrel air rifle, with 18¾” barrel, blade foresight and adjustable backsight, plain cylinder with Diana trade mark, semi pistol grip stock, together with a .22 BSA Standard under lever air rifle and two break barrel air rifles, the first air rifle basically GC (the remaining air rifles require attention)
A blank firing SA revolver, loosely based on a Colt Navy but with brass frame and stepped cylinder, 13½” overall, octagonal barrel 7½”, with hinged rammer. Frame with cut out for loading, flared grips with a Price Western quick draw holster, and a .177 BSA Cadet Major break barrel air rifle, the blank revolver VGWO & C (retaining original blue finish, the air rifle rusted overall)

A good quality Spanish souvenir rapier, probably late 19th /early 20th century, the slender plated blade etched with foliage and gilt “Fabrica de Toledo”, selectively plated hilt etched with Spanish arms, GC; a fencing foil; 3 bayonets (1 AF), a police truncheon; a German rifle cleaning kit, and another item. A German short M1898 bayonet, plated saw backed blade 10” with early Eickhorn mark, the hilt with bird’s head pommel and chequered horn grips, in its steel scabbard, generally GC (slightly pitted and worn overall, one grip wormed), and an Austrian socket bayonet for the M1854 Lorenz rifle. QGC. (2)

AF to GC (minor wear but band worn and damaged, 1 head missing)
25 Cameron Highlanders, from sets 114, marching rifles sloped, 16 2nd version full service dress, and 8 with back packs (restored painting and fixed bayonets), plus 9 set 1918 home guard including officer fixed arms, marching rifles slung (3 rifle arms missing), non matching paintings. 14 Rifle Brigade from set 9, marching rifles shouldered, 6 oval base including officer,sword sheathed, and 8 rectangular base fully restored officer with sword drawn; together with 15 Royal Marines from set 2071 at present, including 2 officers with swords (1 broken).
