An 18-bore percussion plains rifle, 36inch sighted rifled barrel signed Buhler Brandenburg on the top flat, stepped back action lock signed Buhler, set trigger, full stocked with inlaid star pattern to the cheek rest in slivers of ivory and dark wood, further inlaid with three plated escutcheons, horn fore-end cap, brass mounts, brass capped, steel topped wooden ramrod, complete with leather sling. Sling with age cracks and stock with crack to sideplate area.
A French Model 1866-74 11mm obsolete calibre service rifle, 31.25inch barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sights and stamped with the serial no. 42834 to the left side of the breech and MANUFACTURE IMPERIALE MUTZIG M.80 MLE 1866-74, full stocked with regulation steel mounts, various stock stamps, complete with leather sling and steel cleaning rod.
Of Boer War interest a .577 obsolete calibre Martini Henry rifle by Westley Richards, 32.5inch sighted barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sights, the barrel stamped HENRY RIFLING forward of the sight and WESTLEY RICHARDS behind the sight, the stamped MADE SPECIALLY for ZAR to the right side and WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. to the left, further dated 1896 just forward of the breech, full stock with regulation steel mounts, steel cleaning rod. Clean bore. The stock incised: Transvaal Rifle. Surrendered by a burgher at Kronstadt May 1900 to Civil-Surgeon F.G. Engelbach (attached 2nd Cavalry Brig) afterwards killed at Noigedatch Transvaal Dec 13th 1900 attending wounded under heavy fire, and having himself been already wounded in the hand.
A .577 obsolete calibre New Zealand Snider short rifle, 30.75inch sighted barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sights, various Ordnance stamps but principally marked to the breech NZ over 88 over 754, this repeated behind the barrel tang on the stock, border engraved lock stamped with a crown over VR at the tail and dated 1862, full stocked with regulation brass mounts, steel cleaning rod.

KING ST COVNT GARDEN LONDON, etched with scrolling foliage, THE KING'S ROYAL RIFLE CORPS over a strung bugle horn over 2ND SOUTH MIDDLESEX and crowned VR cypher, regulation steel Gothic hilt incorporating a crowned strung bugle horn and engraved JPR to the underside, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its steel scabbard, complete with leather knot.
EVIIR Rifle Brigade Sword to Howard Frome of the 8th Battalion London Regiment, 82cm grey blade etched with scrolling foliage, strung bugle horn and Royal cypher, regulation pierced steel hilt incorporating a crowned strung bugle horn, the pommel marked RETURN TO HOWARD FROME, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard, chape repaired. A label attached to the sword mentions the 8th Battalion London Regiment Rifle Brigade. The 8th Battalion of the Rifle Brigade was not raised until 1914, too late for this sword. The 8th Battalion of the London Regiment was the Post Office Rifles.

Pitting to mounts, clean bore.
A good Swiss Vetterli 10.4mm obsolete calibre bolt action service rifle, 32.5inch sighted blued barrel fitted with pivoting rear sight and stamped with the serial no. 176220 to the left side of the breech, blued action stamped WAFFENFABRIK BERN 176220 and M.78, full stocked with blued and hardened mounts, steel cleaning rod.
A Victorian 1822 Pattern Prince Consort's Own Rifle Brigade Officer's sword to the Honourable Thomas Lister - 4th Baron Ribblesdale, 80.5cm blade by BINNIE & CO, OLD BOND ST. LONDON, etched with scrolling foliage, crowned VR cypher, regimental motif, full battle honours and owner's crest and initials, regulation steel Gothic hilt incorporating a crowned strung bugle horn, wire bound leather covered grip, contained in its steel scabbard. Complete with copy paperwork.
An 1822 Pattern Rifle Officer's sword, 82cm blade etched with scrolling foliage, crowned GVIR cypher and crowned Royal Arms, regulation plated steel hilt incorporating a crowned laurel wreath with strung bugle horn, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its plated mounted field service scabbard. Blade clean but rubbed, fishskin nibbled.
