A .577” Model 1853 Enfield three band percussion rifle, the lockof which is marked Enfield 1858. It comes complete with its original ramrod and its overall condition is good and its bore is excellent. The butt tang bears the marking V S St signifying it was issued to the South Staffordshire Volunteers. It comes together with an original small brass pistol powder flask which has some dents in the body however the cut off spring is present and in working order and there are no splits in the seam.
A French 'Fusil Modele 1866' Chassepot bolt action rifle, 11mm-.433-inch calibre, 32.5-inch sighted barrel with adjustable folding rear sight, French proof marks, barrel and bolt both stamped 'F93365,' with various other inspection marks, (mechanism in good working order, lacking ramrod and bayonet)
