THIS LOT REQUIRES A CURRENT SHOTGUN LICENCE) CONDITION REPORTS Bore measurements - right barrel 734, left barrel 733. Chokes - right barrel half choke - left barrel in proof cylinder / skeet. Length of pull to heel - front trigger 15", rear trigger 14". Provenance - local private vendor. Condition - good throughout though with wear and tear conducive with age and use. Woodwork with some denting and surface scratching. Metal work basically good though with wear. Motor case basically sound though with signs of wear and tear throughout conducive with age and much use.

A good 19th century American percussion plains rifle, the walnut stock set with finely engraved floral mounts and plaque inscribed 'E McGauran', with heavy octagonal barrel, length 125cm. .453 calibre.Additional InformationThe rifling is present however it is too dirty to comment on the condition of the bore, general surface knocks throughout as you would expect from a gun of this age, an old repair to the wood beneath the barrel, some tarnishing to the metalwork and some pitting to the barrel.
