Shanghai Volunteer Corps Cavalry Horse 100 Round Bandolier. A rare early example circa 1900 of a polished brown leather bandolier. The specially shaped belt tailored to accommodate a horse's neck is mounted with ten pouches that would hold five rifle rounds. The belt with clear 'SVC' stamps. Near VGC.
WW1 Brothers Casualty Memorial Plaques Royal Berkshire Regiment & King's Royal Rifle Corps. These Plaques were issued to commemorate 'William Parsons' and ' Stanley Morris Parsons' who both paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country and both natives of Glastonbury Somerset. (2 items) 13323 Rifleman William Parsons Died of Wounds on the 13th April 1918, whilst serving with the 16th Bn KRRC. His brother 48616 Private Stanley Morris Parsons was Killed in Action whilst serving with the 5th Bn Royal Berkshire Regiment on the 26th August 1918. Both men are confirmed on the CWG Register has been the sons of Mrs Parsons of Glanstonbury.

Within laurel sprays surmounted by a Guelphic crown resting 'Delhi' tablet, a Maltese cross with balls to the tips; to the centre, on a circlet inscribed 'Third Gurkha Rifle Regt.' crossed kukris with '3' between the blades. Rifle Brigade WW2 presentation menu holder. This is a fine quality example. The circular holder is mounted with a disc of tortoiseshell, inlaid with a silver regimental device of the Rifle Brigade. VGC Raised as 8th Buckinghamshire RVC in 1860, reformed as 2nd Bucks (Eton College) Rifle Volunteers 15th June 1878. December 1887 redesigned 4th (Eton College) VB Oxfordshire Light Infantry, 1902 reverted to 2nd Bucks.

The interior with Leather sweatband with crimson silk edging, also tailor's details of Christy's London. Good clean condition. 4th Cheshire (Cheshire & Derby) Rifle Vols. had 'L' to 'N' Companies (late 23rd Derby) at Glossop. In December 1887 by GO 181 became 4th VB Cheshire Regt.

Complete with regimental buttons and medal ribbons of the 1914/15 Star, BWM, VM. Clean condition (2 items) Lieutenant Colonel Sir Geoffrey Christie-Miller C.,DSO.,MC served with the 2/4th Bn Ox & Bucks and in March 1916 was attached to the 2/5th Bn Gloucestershire Regiment. He is confirmed as been awarded the DSO and MC. He was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath in 1951.

Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in black leather and silver plated mounted scabbard. Etching clear.

Slightly curved fullered blade with etched floral decoration and presentation script 'PRESENTED TO CAPTAIN WATKINS BY THE NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS AND PRIVATES OF THE 15TH WORCESTERSHIRE (OMBERSLEY) RIFLE CORPS AS A MARK OF THEIR ESTEEM'. The Gothic guard, cartouche containing Victorian crown above a bugle-horn with '39' in the curl. Shagreen grip with twist wire turnings. Housed in steel scabbard, fitted with two loose rings. Blade remains in clean condition scabbard and hilt with pitting. The number 39 denotes the county's precedence regarding the Volunteer corps raised from 1859
1900 Boer War City Imperial Volunteers Attributed CIV Sword by Wilkinson London. A rare attributed example carried by Captain S.C. Byrne who commanded a reinforcement draft of the CIV. The Victorian sword is the regulation Infantry pattern. The blade with etched decoration depicting crowned reversed VR cypher and a name scroll 'S.C. Byrne'. The forte with the cutler's detail of Wilkinson and the back of the blade with the number '38064' (1900). The hilt is of the regulation pattern, the guard with a crowned VR cypher, shagreen grip and twist wire binding. Housed in brown leather field service scabbard. The sword has been professionally plated at some time and the plating has peeled to parts. Captain S.C. Byrne served with the 21st Middlesex Rifle Volunteers and volunteered for service in South Africa. He was placed in command of a Reinforcement drat and was awarded the Queen's South Africa Medal, with three clasps 'Cape Colony', 'Orange Free State' and 'Transvaal', '

Crowned star mounted with laurel sprays and strap '1st Hants Rifle Volunteers'; black velvet centre bearing silvered strung bugle. Three loops to reverse. Back plate with surplus holes otherwise VGC.
