The circular watch with a silvered dial, gilt and black raised batons and black hands, to a safet glass. A later integral bracelet with a reverse painted crystal lion head, to a mother of pearl back, a pair of crossed rifles against a Zulu shield, and a row of bullets to a ladder snap clasp, 167mm long, case 16mm diameter, one crystal marked 14k, with an American maker's mark, 27.37g

L730 (stock stamped 989) with unusual side catch lock to cocking lever, 101cm overall length Condition report: stock shows signs of damp to the finish, chip to the hand swell at the top of the grip, the pommel, and the bottom edge of the butt. Fine light pitting overall to metal work. Mechanisms function correctly.

Scottish. Argyllshire Highland Rifle Volunteers Victorian Officer's shoulder belt plate.A very fine and scarce silvered example. Rectangular plate mounted with Thistle star; to the centre within a Celtic circlet, a crowned ornate coiled bugle horn bearing a boar's head. Reverse retains original two hooks and two studs. Old restoration to top star ray. VGCBecame a VB of the A & SH on 1st July 1881, redesignated 5th VB 1st December 1887 during which time the plate continued in service.
1861 Victorian Norwich Rifle Volunteers Presentation Sword.This is an example of a specially commissioned 1827 Light Infantry pattern sword. The blade with full length engraved decoration with presentation panel "This sword was presented with a Henrys Rifle to Captain Middleton by the Officer's and Privates of No.1 Company Norwich Rifle Volunteers as a token of the high regard and esteem October 1861". Also engraved with an Armorial crest. The hilt of regulation pattern incor[porating a crown strung bugle device. The shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Blade decoration is clear, some overall minor age wear and dulling. PLEASE NOTE scabbard absent.

Within a laurel wreath surmounted by a Guelphic Crown resting on a blank tablet, a Maltese cross with circlet inscribed "Rifle Brigade", centrally a crowned strung bugle. Mounted on the base of the wreath, a scroll inscribed The Prince Consort's Own". Four screw posts to reverse. Slight service wear. GCWorn by 5th Bn (late 2nd R.Tower Hamlets Militia), 6th (late Royal Regt. of Longford Rifles Irish Militia), 7th (late 1st R.Tower Hamlets Militia), 8th (late Leitrim Rifles Irish Militia disbanded 1889) and 9th (late Westmeath Rifles Irish Militia) Battalions RB.
1st (City of London Volunteer Rifle Brigade), Victorian shako plate circa 1859-1901A good die-stamped blackened brass crowned star mounted with oak wreath and strap inscribed "London Rifle Brigade" and with Royal shield ,"Ich Dien", City of London Arms with crossed sword and mace. Two loops to reverse. VGC HQ. 8 Great Winchester Street. In 1908 became the 5th (City of London Battalion) The London Regiment (London Rifle Brigade).

Crowned maple wreath on tri-part scroll "Rifle Calgary Regt."; to the voided centre a shield bearing '103' over crossed rifles with rising sun below; the ground. inscribed "Onward". Four screw posts to reverse (one shortened). VGCRaised 1st April, 1910; Commanding Officer Lieutenant-Colonel W.C.G. Armstrong. Disbanded 1920.
2nd (Chippenham) Wiltshire Rifle Volunteers Victorian 1863 Birmingham hallmarked silver Officer’s pouch belt plate. A fine and scarce die-stamped example by Bent and Parker. Hoop edged crowned oval strap "Wiltshire Rifle Volunteers", strung bugle horn to centre with "2" between the strings. Four screw posts to reverse. VGC 2nd Wiltshire RV's became a VB of the regiment on Friday 1st July 1881 however not designated 2nd VB until 1st December 1887. HQ at Chippenham

Within a crowned oval strap inscribed "Exeter & South Devon", "1st Volunteer Rifles 1852"; below the strap, an ornate scroll inscribed "Semper fidelis". Three flat lugs to reverse. Orb restored otherwise GC.Originally raised in May 1852, accepted by Horse Guards 23rd September 1959 as 1st Devonshire Rifle Volunteers (Exeter and South Devon). Became 1st VB Devonshire Regiment on 1st November 1885 and the plate continued in use.
