British 1827 Pattern Rifle Officers Sword, regulation pattern with crowned strung bugle incorporated into the hilt. Shagreen grip with wire binding. Housed in its brown leather covered field service scabbard. Heavily polished blade with remains of the etched decoration including foliage, strung bugle and crowned VR cipher. Blade 80 ½ cms, overall 95 ½ cms. Some damage to the scabbard.

Crowned strung bugle incorporated to the hilt. Housed in its steel scabbard with two hanging rings. Blade etched with crossed lances, strung bugle, Victorian crown foliage and reverse with the same but the regimental details 28th Cheshire Rifle Volunteers. Owners initials to shield at the forte. Blade 81 ½ cms, overall 98cms. Untouched as found.

Crowned strung bugle incorporated into the hilt. Housed in its steel scabbard with two hanging rings. Blade retains much of the original polish. Etched decoration consisting of foliage, strung bugle and lower scroll with 1 C.P.R.V. Other side of the blade with foliage, crowned VR cipher and retailers details of Duke’s Hastings. Blade 81 ½ cms, overall 105cms.
