A RARE .577 PERCUSSION PATTERN 1853 ENFIELD 3RD MODEL THREE BAND SERVICE RIFLE, no visible serial number, circa 1860, with 39in. barrel rifled with three grooves, (worn) the breech marked with Enfield proof and inspection stamps (faint), block and blade front-sight and standard Enfield pattern ladder rear-sight to 1000 yards, the lock stamped on the tail with the Crown V.R. cypher and '1860 / Enfield' to the centre, together with the small crowned arrow inspection stamp, regulation brass mounted full walnut stock the right side of the butt stamped with the R. M. Enfield roundel (faint), replacement loading rod.

A .577 PERCUSSION PATTERN 1856 VOLUNTEER TWO BAND SHORT RIFLE, no visible serial number, circa 1859, with 33in. barrel, barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight to 1100 yards, bayonet lug at muzzle with short extension bar as typical of the P56 pattern, borderline engraved lock bearing the crown cypher and dated '1859' to the centre, regulation iron mounted full walnut stock, with small inset white metal escutcheon just forward of the triggerguard etched with the original owners crest, complete with sling swivels and original rod.

A .52 SHARPS NEW MODEL 1863 CAPPING BREECH-LOADING CARBINE OF THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR, serial no. AN INTERESTING AND UNUSUAL .577 OFFICER'S OR VOLUNTEER'S SHORT RIFLE BY R. T. PRITCHETT, serial no 62, circa 1858, with 32in. barrel rifled with three grooves, marked 'LONDON' at the breech, military pattern barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight to 1100 yards, with hook or break-off breech, borderline engraved bar-action lock of Enfield P53 style but of reduced size, signed with makers name to centre, 'R. T. Pritchett', slender iron mounted full walnut stock, the barrel secured by two flat keys not barrel bands, iron mounts, borderline engraved buttcap, the tang engraved with the rack number '62' indicating it was one of a stand, borderline engraved trigger-guard with long tang, nosecap and two rammer pipes, complete with rammer.

A .577 PERCUSSION VOLUNTEER TWO BAND RIFLE BY WESTLEY RICHARDS, no visible serial number, circa 1860, with 33in. Birmingham proofed barrel, military pattern barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight to 1100 yards, the lock of Enfield P53 pattern stamped with makers name 'WESTLEY RICHARDS' to centre, regulation brass mounted full walnut stock to within 1 1/2in. of muzzle, complete with sling swivels and replacement rod.

A .577 ENFIELD PATTERN 1853 SECOND MODEL THREE BAND PERCUSSION RIFLE, serial no. 152, circa 1857, with 39in. barrel rifled with three grooves, barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight to 1000 yards, struck at the breech with full Birmingham Government proofs, Pimlico refurbishment stamps and the opposed arrows sale mark, borderline engraved lock bearing the Queens cypher of a a Crown 'V.R.' on the tail and '1857 / TOWER' to the centre, regulation brass mounted full walnut stock with three spring retained iron barrel bands, the butt cap engraved with issue markings '78 / M / 152', correct sling swivels, ill fitting replacement hammer and incorrect rod.

JAQUET, no visible serial number, circa 1853, produced in Belgium by Beuret Freres, with round 33 1/4in. barrel, socket for bayonet at muzzle, tunnel fore-sight, tangent rear-sight, long plain top-tang fitted with a pan-headed peep-sight, plain hump-backed bar-action lock signed 'H. ENGLAND JULY 1, FRANCE OCT. 20' around the outer circumference, nickel-plated birdshead grip with aperture for wire shoulder-stock (missing), spur-trigger, strong amount of original finish remaining to body and in a coarse felt-lined case of apparent similar vintage but possibly added later; complete with an original spanner tool and turnscrew and a hand-written shooting record for the pistol with entries dated around 1914/15. A CASED 32-BORE TWO-GROOVE PERCUSSION DOUBLE RIFLE BY PURDEY, serial no. 4862, for 1853, with twin-groove rifled browned 30in. damascus barrels, the top-rib with traces of signature only, long bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, scroll engraved rib-end, single platinum line interrupted by the rib at breech together with two engraved bands and platinum vents, fully engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'PURDEY' (areas of shallow pitting and frosting), sliding safes forwards of the scroll engraved slab-sided dolphin headed hammers, chequered walnut half-stock, raised cheek-piece, crested iron patch-box to right hand side of butt (pitted), engraved and chequered iron heel-plate, iron trigger-guard bow with chequered tang spur and brass mounted mahogany matching number ramrod; together with a walnut case, partially relined in red baize, facsimile 'J. Purdey' trade-label and containing a leather-covered white metal topped James Dixon bag-shaped powder flask, a period cap-tin, various nipple-keys, a ball-mould numbered 5140 and marked to 'H. D. A .22 BSA AIRSPORTER 'MKI' UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, serial no.
