A collection of Bristol interest WWI First World War military items. To include; a miniature WWI medal group comprising: 14-15 Cross, War Medal, Victory Medal and King George V medal - all with ribbons, on bar. Along with a ' Bristol Rifle Volunteers ' Good Attendance medal awarded to a Corporal E. Gardiner c1883, and a later-printed regimental photograph of the ' City Of Bristol Rifle Volunteers ' ( Mardons ). c1900. All presumed related.
A fascinating collection of WWI First World War Bristol related personal effects relating to a Captain James Redgers of the Gloucestershire Regiment. Comprising of: his uniform buttons, cap badges and related, his hallmarked silver pocket watch by Schwer & Co of Bristol, his 1928 marriage certificate, his ' 61st South Midland Division ' Gallantry certificate(dated 1917 for: 'After his Platoon Commander had been wounded, he took over the command of the platoon during the advance, and by good leadership minimized casualties, the platoon being under heavy machine gun fire at the time ,' and his original Warrant for being promoted to Captain, and a small silver plated drinks cup engraved ' Sgt Redgers - Rifle Meeting - Arras. 15.10.17 '. His WWI Army service book is also included and shows his positions (and injuries) throughout the war. Several photographs of Redgers in uniform are also included, along with his Gloucestershire Regiment swagger stick. Rare and interesting collection.

Walnut stock, with brass mounts and trigger guard. Brass sling swivels and original steel ramrod present. Mechanism in full working order. Obsolete calibre. Possibly East India Co. Measures approx; 137cm long.

An antique British 1888 Lee Metford rifle bayonet by Wilkinson. Manufactured for the British .303 calibre Enfield, Lee Metford rifle. The bayonet blade double edged and unfullered with a medial ridge running from the ricasso to the blade tip. The ricasso of the blade marked 'Wilkinson London'. The reverse is stamped with the broad arrow and an inspection stamp. The grips are of wood, held together with two brass rivets. With scabbard. Measures approx; 44cm long.

An original WWI First World War medal pair awarded to a R-41770 Private G. E. Foale of the King's Royal Rifle Corp. Comprising Victory Medal and War Medal. Both appear unworn and in very good condition, within the original boxes. By family repute, Foale was killed in action two weeks before the end of the war. Consigned directly from the family.

Comprising of: an original Feldmutze cap (1916) with rare camouflage headband (to cover the red band), original M1910 jacket with red piping to the collar (complete with all brass regimental buttons), an original leather belt complete with ' Gott Mit Uns ' buckle, a pair of all-leather ammo pouches, an original screw-top water bottle with tan canvas cover, soldier's bread bag, entrenching tool / shovel (and leather carrier), original S98 / 05 rifle ' Butcher ' bayonet (within the original steel scabbard), and the pair of standard issue leather boots. All displayed upon a mannequin (included in the sale if desired). A rare and impressive German uniform. All elements are original and period, but likely not original to each other (the uniform being completed over a number of years by a collector). Rare.
