Second World War metal and enamel sign, this type of sign was used on the ammunition crates that held the ammunition for the Northover Projector which was a primitive anti tank weapon used by the British Army and Home Guard in the dark days after Dunkirk, it fired standard hand and rifle grenades and also the No76 Special Incendiary Grenade , a glass bottle containing white phosphorus and also known as the SIP (Self Igniting Phosphorus) Grenade or A.W. Bomb, these grenades had a tendency to break inside the barrel damaging the weapon (and crew!), corners of the sign appear to have been repainted where the enamel has chipped off, 30.5 cm x 20 cm

D.S.O., later half calf or morocco, spines gilt, t.e.g., the last with original pictorial cloth bound in at end (damp-stained), all a little rubbed, the second with splits to joints, the last with faded spine, 8vo (3)⁂ An interesting group of contemporary accounts of soldiers who served in the Napoleonic Wars.

A Great War trio comprising 1914/15 Star, British War and Victory Medals named to Z-2213 Pte H Broadbent Rif Brigade. *Harold Broadbent of the 3rd Battalion the Rifle Brigade was killed in action on the 27th June, 1915. Buried in La Brique Military Cemetery No 2.

Named to 2124 Willm. Lund, 4th Battalion Rifle Brigade. Mounted as worn on an old style suspension bar. William Lund is recorded in the 1871 Worldwide Army Index as serving in Shorncliffe.
TWO SECOND WORLD WAR S84/98 BAYONETS ONE WITH SS MARKINGS. A German S84/98 bayonet for use with the Karabiner 98k rifle, with a 25.5cm pointed and fullered blade stamped 3784 and 'J.Sch', the scabbard similarly numbered, 40cm overall, and a similar bayonet and scabbard with etched blade '33 SS Kavallerie - Charlemagne' and Meine Fhre heikt Treue', with bakelite grip, engraving possibly later. With an enclosure slip from the officer commanding Depot No. 212 6th (Rifle Bat) K.L.R. to Mrs Stockwell 106 Belgrave Road, St Michaels, Lpool 'I enclose medals won ... at the sports in France....'. With a sports medals, cap badge, Defence Medal and other items. John P. Stockwell is also recorded as serving with the Liverpool Regiment with number 242349.
A TOWER HAMLETS RIFLES SHOULDER BELT. A black leather shoulder belt and pouch, the pouch mounted with a slung bugle badge, the belt with 'The Tower Hamlets Rifle Brigade, Prince Consort's Own' with battle honours within a wreath, a lions mask mount with triple round link chain and whistle. The belt 7.5cm wide. With a slip of paper attributing the belt to Major J,C, Walker TD (1914-1985) of The Rifle Brigade who was wounded whilst serving at El Alamein commanding the 1st Battalion.

With an 83cm curved blade with double edged spear point and partial fuller, etched with Rifles suspended bugle and VR monogram and Crown, the back decorated with a long arrow, with a brass Proof mark of Robert Mole of Birmingham. The broad pierced steel guard with a further bugle slung beneath a crown, stepped oval pommel and fish skin grip bound with wire. The scabbard with twin ring suspension, 100cm overall.

A group of six miniatures comprising Boer War medal with Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal and 1901 clasps with 1914 Star with Aug-Nov clasp, War Medal, Victory medal, Territorial Force War Medal and Territorial Efficiency Medal.. With ribbon bar and Masonic award. With a photocopied image of the possible recipient and a letter from the War Office dated 12th May 1938 listing the military career of Captain John Williams Boughton from 4th Middlesex Rifle Corps in 1894 to a commission in the ASC during the Great War.

Lance Corporal Drake is recorded with the 1st London (City of London Rifle Volunteer Brigade) being awarded his long service award on the 1st July 1905.
A VICTORIAN 1861 PATTERN SHAKO FOR THE LONDON RIFLE BRIGADE. With an oval flat top with feather plume to the front, outswept back with a small applied head of medusa, the front with a plate for the London Rifle Brigade beneath a crown, with leather peak and chin strap, the red silk lined interior marked for S.W. Sliver & Co. 67 Cornhill London, and applied gilt initials WAV possibly for a previous owner. 28cm high, 26cm front to back.
Saville Row Glencoe check and Gortex field jacket, size 46 with matching flat cap size 73/8. The Norton Field Jacket was produced in a limited quantity and manufactured under the joint label of Norton & Sons and Boss Gun & Rifle Makers. It was primarily designed for shooting and outdoor activities, trimmed with waterproof Pittards leather, corduroy trim and storm cuffs, cartridge pocket, poachers pocket, internal zip pocket and vertical zip pocket behind the fly front.
.450 Martini Henry Falling Block Rifle No. 27945, ramped ladder rear sight to 1200 yards, action cleaned (no marking remaining), 2 iron barrel bands the forward with bayonet lug and sling swivel, iron cleaning rod (3.5cms too long). Quite good condition, a little damage and well-worn overall).
Good .577 Snider Breech Loading Volunteer Rifle, regulation lock stamped TOWER 1871 with crown on tail, breech stamped SNIDER PATENT with Snider logo, iron mounts, 2 scre9wed barrel bands, twin sling swivels, ramped ladder rear sight to 1100 yards, bayonet lug at muzzle. Overall 123cms, barrel 77.5cms. Good untouched condition and age patina, cleaning rod replaced.
