Gaskell' to the right side underneath the cocking lever, brass trigger guard, leather covered steel butt reservoir of tapering conical form with brass ferrule and walnut fore-stock with horn mounts L107cm overallCondition Report:There has been some restoration to this gun and potential bidders should satisfy themselves as to the extent of the restoration.There is splitting of the woodwork under the left side of the lock close to the trigger.It is possible that the wooden fore-stock beyond the end of the lock-plate is not original as there is a joint.Some screws have been replaced.Rear of butt stock is heavily corroded and pitted.Leather covering of butt reservoir does not look original.The vendor advises that the action does function but the rubber plunger has been removed for safety purposes so the gun will not fire.Potential purchasers are strongly recommended to satisfy themselves as to the condition of this gun.
