A good .300” Martini action Rook Rifle, by Dickson & Son, Princes St, Edinburgh, number 20545, 43½” overall, round barrel 28” with matted flat top, folding leaf rearsight, and maker’s name and address in panel, the border engraved frame with serial number and “Martini’s Patent”, cocking indicator and safety catch on right side, the walnut halfstock with chequered fore end and wrist and horn fore end cap. A nineteenth century percussion cap muzzle load sporting rifle by John Blissett, London. With octagonal barrel and knurled walnut half stock. Barrel 68cm. 12mm bore. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Stock with repair to the butt, that section being superbly replaced. Action working. Some chips to the hammer and slight pitting to the barrel externally. Barrels heavily pitted inside.
