Lower section of the poster says “Accidents will happen unless you ensure that magazine and chamber are empty”. Tear to the middle of the poster and wear to the edges.

Plate remains in good overall condition. ** Oudtshoorn Rifle Volunteers were a small volunteer unit that was raised in the western rural districts of the Cape Colony in the late 1880’s. They served during the Anglo Boer War and served up until 1913, when they were embodied into the Citizen force.
