1st Lancashire Rifle Volunteer Corps Victorian helmet plate circa 1880-88.Scarce die-stamped blackened crowned Maltese cross, lions between the arms, bearing title circlet with strung bugle to voided centre; ‘1’ lodged between the cords. Three loops VGCRedesignated 1st VB The King’s (Liverpool Regiment) in 1888.

NAÏVE AIPLANE MODELS. Two ingenious naïve airplane models. A brass bi-plane, the body made from a rifle bullet, the wheels from tunic buttons & a Spitfire, the body made from a spark plug. Both have some age, but date of making unknown. Condition: Bi-plane is uncleaned & has some rust to underside of bullet. Spitfire appears to be later & recently painted. An Edward VII silver hallmarked matchbox holder, hallmarked Birmingham 1901 by W. Hutton & Sons Ltd, with Northumberland Fusiliers The Fighting 5th crest to the top, together with an London 1868 hallmark silver spoon, with 7th Lancers skull and crossed spears to reverse, plus a silver City Rifle Club spoon, hallmarked Sheffield 1934 by Cooper Brothers & Sons, and two other silver marked spoons (possibly Indian), approx 8.6oz

Two rare WW1 Field Message Books hand written by 2nd Lieutenant R.C. Clarke of No.6 Platoon. The first book which has been written towards the end of 1917 contains some very interesting reports on the first 4 pages, whilst the rest of the book seems to be written in codes. (Two of the pages from the first book reads): To Officer Commanding No.2 Company, Intelligence Report: Several men seen walking up & down PEN TRENCH during day. Party of 10 Boches seen working in trench on French front during afternoon. A few rifle shots fired from direction of ELEVEN TREES during night. Signalling from forward corner of LONE TREE by dugout 105* From your reference at junction of LEG TRENCH & CT 90* was seen between 4-10 & 4-25. Signed RC Clarke 2Lt. 4.30am 26/11/17. The second book is hand written in April & May 1919 by then a Lieutenant RC Clarke
Soldiers by Bob - A boxed set of four pieces of hand painted metal French Motorcycles & sidecars from 'Soldiers by Bob' (handmade in the US and very heavy!). Models appear to be in Near Mint - Mint condition (one model has a detached rifle which is present), and are presented within an Excellent box.
